A stronger, more connected community is something we build together.

The purpose of Tai Tokerau Timebank is simple: to keep our community ties strong by helping one another, in whatever ways we can.

Sometimes that means practical help — a hand in the garden, a repair, a lift somewhere or sharing a skill. Other times, it means being a friend, listening when someone needs to talk, or sitting down for a cuppa when life feels a bit hard.

These things might seem small, but they're what make a community strong. They help us build friendships, trust and connections, so that when life gets tough, we know there are people around us we can turn to.

And the lovely thing is, we're already doing it.

Many of us regularly help friends, neighbours and other members of our community without thinking twice. But often, we forget to log those exchanges in the Timebank.

When you spend an hour helping another member, you can log that time and earn a time credit to use when you need help yourself. Everyone's time is valued equally, and you don't have to exchange with the same person.

Logging our trades isn't just about keeping track of credits. It helps us recognise the kindness already happening around us, show the strength of our connections, and keep our Timebank active and growing.

The more we participate, the stronger this network becomes — and the better placed we are to support one another when challenges come our way.
