Naturally Superlicious Soap Making!

Whangārei Timebank member & EcoSolutions Community Co-ordinator, Chloe King, has “always loved making, baking and creating, and learning to make soap has been an exciting new adventure.”

So, when a friend decided to sell her soap making business, SANOlifestyle, Chloe bought it. The kaupapa filled perfectly with her own desire to live a low waste lifestyle, reducing her impact on our planet.

When Whangārei September Green Drinks became available Chloe kindly offered to run a cold pressed soap making demonstration and Te Kamo High School supplied the perfect venue under the umbrella of Community Education Whangārei (CEW).

Chloe introduced the evening with a background to SANOlifestyle and then explained her Cold Process which uses only natural ingredients.

After her information-packed intro, Chloe gave a simple soap making demonstration, talking everyone through the process as she mixed ingredients.

Throughout the evening, ‘Green drinkers’ asked lots of questions and Chloe was more than happy to share her experience and soap making knowledge.

Because it was run in collaboration with CEW, we were happy to welcome several new faces who hadn’t heard of either Timebank or EcoSolutions.
