Handmaking felt slippers – cosy, comfy, soft & warm - made with elbow grease to snuggly our own feet!

This Timebank workshop in Whangārei reverberated with laughter, chatter and creativity, lubricated by foaming soapy water as we rubbed, rubbed, rubbed, moulding brightly coloured fleece into personal handmade slippers - green Shrek feet, speckled grey and white park, fairy pink, dandelion-dyed and au natural.

Conversations flowed in abundance and variety, as fleece gradually morphed into slippers!

Huge thanks to Shanti for giving her time to everyone, sharing her felting experience whilst making her own beautiful slippers.

The sense of community flowing amongst the Timebank members so impressed a participant new to Timebank, that she joined up on the spot!

And ..... after years of trying to find a knitter to finish a jacket my Mother started when she was in her 20’s ... I found the perfect one at the workshop! Timebank is such a great place to get help with things you can’t do yourself!
