It’s pruning time of year, but my garden pruning gear was blunt, loose and a bit rusty.
What to do as I don’t have the expertise or tools to bring them back into action?
Well ..... of course ... I visited our local Repair Cafe.
Now the secateurs, shears and loppers are sharp, tight, clean and ready for action!

Whangārei is incredibly fortunate to have this cafe. Founded by FORCE, (Home - For Our Real Clean Environment) it’s run entirely by skilled volunteers. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, inspiring and relaxed with fresh, home baking, teas and coffee available.
Think twice before dumping your un-working, broken items into landfill ... take them along to Reyburn Studio, next door to Reyburn House Gallery, on the 3rd Sat of the month, 1.30 – 4pm. Check out their FB page for what’s on offer each month.
The Cafe is an Organisational Member of Tai Tokerau Timebank and so Timebank Members who volunteer there once a month earn time credits.
