Food, Fun & Vicarious Adventures

Tai Tokerau Timebank in Whangārei potluck social joined with August Green Drinks to host a wonderful evening courtesy of TTT member, James. The room was filled by many Timebank members and everyone brought along plates of tasty food to share.

In 2024 James and three friends hired motorbikes to ride through the high Himalayan passes and valleys in Ladakh. They encountered their fair share of rock falls, impassible tracks, dodgy swing bridges, cold weather, punctures and minor accidents. And the challenges of riding at altitude meant they only lingered long enough on the high mountain passes for a quick photo! But these were far outweighed by the hospitality of friendly locals and breathtaking mountains and valleys.

Reading from his journal, showing photos and videos, James took us all vicariously along with him and his friends as they rode through the incredibly spectacular landscape of Ladakh.

These social events bring members together in a fun and relaxed setting – building connections and friendships.
