Did you read our recent post Being Prepared? This is the second workshop being run under our Emergency Preparedness Pilot Program.
Recent events have shown us that we need different ways to cope in times of power cuts, water shortages etc. Having the ability to use a compost toilet when the power is out, or during a water shortage, is a useful skill to have.
Come along and learn how to make your own Compost Toilet system from our Timebank member Ken Spence who has loads of experience. Ken will explain how to make and use a simple bucket toilet, with the option of a urine separator (available to buy at the event and online) and how to manage the waste collected. It's easy and effective. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and much more.
When: Saturday 21st September 2pm-4pm
Where: Anō Anō, Kaitaia
Cost: Timecredits for Timebankers and $20 pp for non-Timebankers
Koha is always appreciated to help fund future Timebank events. RSVP or for any queries please contact Te Hiku Coordinator Caryl on 021 048 6394 caryldw.tttimebank@gmail.com
