The weather didn't stop us from getting stuck into a working bee at Timebank member Murray & Serafina's on Saturday 14th September at Pamapuria. Despite the small turn out we achieved a lot! Many thanks to Timebank members Roger and Sam for the chainsaw work and to the younger folk for clearing and mulching all the debris.
Absolutely stunning property Murray and Serafina have. We managed to chop down and clear some overgrown trees which produced a lovely sized pile of mulch to be used on the gardens! Brief lessons were learnt around chainsaw safety, use of the large mulcher (and safety around it), and the skill involved in felling large trees.
The heavens opened as we were almost finished the mahi which meant it was time for tools down and a cuppa and shared lunch. Murray was generous in sharing the delicious citrus from his gardens and excess firewood that had become of the working bee which was much appreciated. Lovely productive morning! Murray was able to use his Timecredits to pay Roger and Sam for their mahi and Timebank to Roger for his travel there.
