Kaitaia-Tree pruning workshop and helping hands needed at Karikari

Are you wanting to learn how to prune those fruit trees over these next few winter weeks but need a little support and know-how? Your fruit trees have been working hard over spring and summer and now is a good time to give them some TLC to promote good spring growth and get those healthy, abundant crops going! If you're anything like me, then I learn best when it's hands-on, practicing the skills in the moment you're learning them.

This will be a hands-on workshop at a member's property at Karikari where you'll learn how to prune various fruit trees. Timebank members can use timecredits to attend the workshop, and if you decide to stay on after the workshop and help our Timebank member with his numerous fruit trees, you'll also earn timecredits!

But wait, there's more! Mulberry trees are on the to-do list for the pruning workshop, so there'll be ample cuttings to take home if you wish. Mulberrys are a super food so grab yourself some cuttings and grow your own. Your local Timebank coordinator Caryl will be attending as well, so a great chance to meet for a chat and connect with other Timebank members as well.

Car-pooling will be available from Kaitaia as well.
