This workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn from native balm maker, Tia Healey-Jellick, who is offering to share her knowledge of the various traditional medicinal properties and health benefits of our native flora.
The workshop includes:
A talk by Tia on the traditional medicinal properties of some of our native flora
How to use these plants medicinally, using only their natural health promoting ingredients
A demonstration on how to make kawakawa balm
Kawakawa is traditionally used to ease sore joint pain, old wounds, bruises, heal minor skin diseases, cuts, boils, abscesses, eczema, septic infections &acne. It regulates oily & dry skin, strengthens it against sun damage, & has anti-fungal properties.
