About the event
-Are you wanting to learn basic chainsaw safety?
-How to safely use a chainsaw in an extreme weather event?
-Learn about mulching and using a mulcher
-Able to offer your help at a property in Pamapuria after the workshop??
This is the first of many workshops that Timebank will be running to help us all be more prepared in extreme weather events or emergencies.
Our expert Chainsaw/arborist, Roger Gale is offering his knowledge and skills to teach about using a chainsaw in a safe and efficient manner. With more and more extreme weather events occurring, now is the time to become prepared and know how to safely remove fallen debris that may have blocked your access or help a neighbour out who is in need.
If you’re able, we’re asking folk to lend a hand to the workshop host, Murray Lay and help at his property-tidying, clearing, mulching. Not essential but any help is much appreciated.
*$40 for non-timebank members
*You can pay for the workshop in Timecredits and earn Timecredits back from helping at the working bee, it’s a win win!!
*Koha is appreciated as this helps fund future emergency preparedness projects!
*We’ll enjoy a shared potluck afterwards, refreshments provided.
