Caravan Curtain Sewing Bee - Kaitāia

Writer: Caryl Doherty WalkerCaryl Doherty Walker

10am-1pm Weds 4th October We're having a Timebank Sewing Bee to help Michelle make curtains for the caravan her daughter and family who live in near Taipā, to keep it cosier for her grandchildren. It has simply been taking her too long to do them all on her own at Anō Anō, not to mention being time consuming and expensive in fuel just coming in to use the machines! We're getting a bit late for this year's winter warmth, but being able to keep the sun out will be much appreciated.

If you can sew a straight seam, measure and cut a straight line that's all the skills we need - although if someone wants to volunteer to be on tea trolley duty and manage refreshments and washing up that would be awesome too.

I will be attending the Sewing Bee to practice my sewing skills and to meet other timebankers. This will be my first 'Bee' as the new local coordinator - look out for me and let me know if there's anything I can help with.
